Visit your podiatrist/physician to be assessed. Per Noridian guidelines, L1932 and L1951 ambulatory Carbon Fiber AFO's may be covered or partially covered for patient's that have conditions such as foot drop, contracture of the foot or ankle, primary osteoarthritis of the ankle or foot, other specific derangements of the ankle or foot not elsewhere specified
If your podiatrist/physician deems a Carbon Fiber AFO to be medically necessary AND they have the appropriate insurance contracts to bill for the brace, they may take the following steps:
- Ask your practitioner to order the the F3 Magnetic Carbon Fiber AFO from our online Store.
- Once your physician receives your AFO, they will dispense it to you and bill your insurance.
